Dearest David,
I was one of your drivers with Driving Miss Daisy a couple of year's ago. I'm so sorry to read that you have finished your time on earth. You were such a gentleman in the true meaning of the word - a gentleman and a very gentle man.
I always had to climb the steps up to your house and knock on the door every weekday morning to fetch you - more often than not you were busy putting the washing out or sweeping the path or tidying up things. You were always on the go - helping and smiling that gorgeous big smile of yours, that could melt everyone's heart.
You used to make me laugh some days - when we picked up Paddy after you, you'd always get out of the car and open the door for Paddy and pick a flower - sometimes you'd give me a cheeky look and instead of giving me the flower you'd give it to Paddy and laugh and laugh. The next day you'd pick two flowers and give them to me with a big grin.
I'm really honoured to have known you and spent some great times driving from Duppa Street to Kemp Street - singing along to Abba's Dancing Queen (Paddy insisted on this song every single day!!).
I hope you realise how much joy and happiness you brought to everyone you came in contact with.
May you rest in peace. Kindest regards, Janet Johnson

David,
seeing you today made me feel so sad. I miss you already. But knowing how many lives you have brightened and how much you mean to both family and friends reassures me that you will not be forgotten.
I tried to tell you earlier, but I cried too much and my words couldn't come out right. I,Baobao (Joanne) write this on behalf of Noni (Lydia), and Bang (Ben). We will forever cherish the names you gave us and the memories we built together.
You have been so strong for us. You were always our gentle giant- Our trusted 'adult' to supervise us at the park. It was amazing how you could ALWAYS find your own way back home! You were also so good and finding our lost items at the park. You knew who they belonged to and you took care in bringing them back home.
You always gave us so much love and so many random little presents. The flowers you picked and then gave to us were chosen with so much thought. Even if they had been picked from the neighbor's garden! We especially miss the lollies you gifted us. I remember how they would be stashed in your pockets and then sneakily eaten throughout family events.
Your cheeky smile and silly laugh always made us so happy. We are thankful to have experienced so many of these moments with you.
May your presence be remembered. May you be at peace and have the comfort of our beloved in heaven. We love you so much.
From your Nieces (Noni&Baobao) and your Nephew (Bang). We will think of you often. Take care xoxxo(Big hugs)

Dear David You have been a wonderful Nephew and your passing away has left a big hole in our family. You will forever be missed. You were always willing to give a helping hand in and around home and at social events held by the family. You are very kind in heart and always smiling. I know you are with Mum (Alice) and your sister (Venus) in God's kingdom in Heaven together with all the angels. We shall all meet again one day David through God's love and blessing. With Love Uncle Willie
