OBITUARY WELL-KNOWN CHINESE The death occurred in the Cook Hospital this morning of Mr. Wong Kwong, a well-known member of the Chinese community in Gisborne. Mr. Kwong was born in Canton, China, (15 years ago and came to New Zealand as a young man. He settled in Gisborne and had resided here tor the last 40 years. I-Ie was employed as a shop assistant by the late Mr. Willie Tan and served in various Chinese fruit shops. The funeral will leave Cochrane's chapel, Williams street, after a short service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, for the Taruheru cemetery.
