CHINESE RESIDENTS' GIFT. When it was decided to hold the All Nations' Fair for the Sick and Wounded Fund of the Manawatu Patriotic Society, the Mayor suggested to Mr Joe Kwong Lee that the Chinese residents should provido a fruit stall at- the show. To-day the Mayoress received a cheque for £27 17s from the Chinese Association of Palmerston towards the funds, and she desires to acknowledge the contribution with thanks.
