Allan Wong
WONG, Allan. Surrounded by family, passed away at Middlemore Hospital, on Monday 5 September 2011, aged 81, after a short illness. Survived by much loved wife of 52 years, Sophia, sister Wong Lan Ying (Hong Kong) and brother Richard Wong (Cambridge). Loving father and father-in- law to Phyllis and Shane, Glen and Janet, and Jeffrey. Goong to Harriet and Yeh Yeh to Liam and Connor. Brother of the late Wong Sor, Wong Gok Fei, and Roy Wong. Godfather to Janette Goh (Hong Kong). A service for Allan will be held at Waikumete Cemetery Chapel 1, 4128A Great North Road, Glen Eden on Saturday 17 September 2011, at 1pm followed by interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Society would be appreciated. PO Box 1724, Shortland St, Auckland.
To Sophia and family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the death of Alan. I have great memories of him as my badminton partner so many years ago. He will never be forgotten. Dear Sophia and family, we were so saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Allan. We’ll always remember Allan as the loving, smiling and caring man, and a proud husband and father.
