Dear Chin Diew Joseph Eugene and Serena, I was deeply saddened to hear of Ai Ing's sudden passing. I know she will be surely missed and pray the Lord will continue to comfort and strengthen you all in the days to come and until such time as you can be together again. I am very great full that my early church life days were with the saints in Palmerston North. Chin Diew and Ai Ing were always friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed Ai Ing and Chin Diew's hospitality, fellowship and service in the gospel. Ai Ing was always calm, gentle and caring towards us all. I thank the Lord for her large heart and love toward all His body. Christ in you Ai Ing is your hope of glory. Christine Yang 24/08/2011
Dear Chin Diew, Joseph, Eugene and Serena, Our love and prayers are with you. May you experience the Lord in every way as your Comforter.
My sister Mary and I have very fond memories of meetings and meals in your flat in Wellington around 1974/75. Dear Sister Ai Ing was so hospitable, loving, patient and kind. You taught us the songs "Jesus is getting us together" and "Its a new living meeting that we're having today!" We enjoyed the Lord so much together with you in your home. Thank you. Dear Chin Diew, Joseph, Eugene & Serena, Ai Kwong & family. Ai Ing was a treasure. A sweet lover of the Lord and His body. She was warm and welcoming. So sorry you have lost her at this stage in your lives. May the Lord fill the void and take care of you all. A real privillage to have known her. Ling Teo 22/08/2011
Dear Uncle Chin Diew, Joseph, Eugene & Serena,
Our family is saddened to hear the news that Auntie Ai Ing has left us so soon and will no longer be with us on earth. Her kindness and generous, welcoming heart will be missed by all of us.
We are however thankful for the times that we have shared with her and your family as we grew up and we are comforted greatly in the knowledge that she is now in the prescence of the Lord and that this separation from us is only temporary - that we will all be reunited in heaven.
This does not mean that any of us will will miss her any less and we pray that the Lord will comfort your family and continue to reassure and remind you of His promises for us.

She has been one of the mant church mums that has always had a smile and a hug for everytime I caught up with her. It is sad to lose such a loving person, but I believe that in her departure she is moving to a place of peace and rest with the Lord Jesus. She is a testamony of a lover of Christ that gave her all to her family and to the Recovery of the Church. Joanna Tysoe 22/08/2011
I am so sadened by the loss of Ai Ing. Both she and Chin Dieu were like a father and mother to my husband and me. So many times we invited ourselves over for lunch after the Sunday meeting. We were poor students and needed both feeding and encouragement. She and Chin Dieu never let us down. There was always room round the table for us. Steve Salamonson 22/08/2011
I met Ai Ing when I was a youngster on what I believe was my first ever trip to Auckland. I stayed at Eddie and Christine Tolmies and a (I am guessing here) newly married Chin Diew and Ai Ing were staying with them. I am guessing they were only new to New Zealand at that time.
Though I have been away from NZ for over 30 years now, we met again on one other sad occasion for her family, and again saw the beautiful person she was.
She will be sadly missed by all of us in the church who have known her and the family over many decades, and more so by her family. May the Lord strengthen you all in your going and living in Him, as I know she would wish.

Ai Ing was a spiritual mother to me in my early christian life. I remember her quiet peace and gentleness. Chin Diew and Ai Ing accepted me into their life without fuss and their testimony of Christ's love continues to inspire me today.
When I lived with them - in the year that Eugene was born - I enjoyed a normal christian life. There was fellowship, tears, and laughter. I remember Ai Ing's cooking with great pleasure. I also remember that Chin Diew and I took nearly one and a half hours to do the dishes each night!
I know Ai Ing is no resting in peace and delight with the Lord and we will all be together again when the Lord returns. Luke Tysoe 21/08/2011
I remember Ai Ing's amazing hospitality and kindness towards our family back when we lived in Palmerston North, when I was a little kid. She was a true friend and sister in Christ and will be greatly missed, but praise the Lord, we have true hope because we know she is now with Christ and we will see her again.
Our prayers are with all of Ai Ing's family. Love in Christ, Luke and Hannah Tysoe Lin Mei Tan 20/08/2011
