Mail advices from China show that there is considerable unrest in Canton. Writing from Hongkong, Reuters correspondent gives particulars of a plan for a rising which kept the authorities alert during the Chinese New Year's festivities. Raids made on certain parts of Canton revealed the following curious revolutionary material: A red satin coat, one large yellow flag, and ten black ones, bearing a white cross in the. middle, with the characters meaning literally, "Deputed from Heaven to save the people."' 2100 complete uniforms. 700 revolvers, 20 pieces of, red cloth, 100 pairs of scissors, to be used for the purpose of cutting off the queues of those joining in the movement, 2010 foreign peaked caps, 13 bundles of lamp-wick and 3S bugles.
