CHINESE WOMEN COMING TO THE DOMINION.
WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN ? Not only is there a considerable influx of Chinamen into New Zealand, but recent steamer passenger lists show that a fairly large number of Chinese women are arriving here, presumably to settle in the country. As an example, .there were nine married Chinese women among the first saloon passengers who arrived from Sydney by the Moeraki on Tuesday. Their names were Mesdames Ah Nin, Ching Wai, Tse Sze, Nyan Sze, Tung -Ming, Lun Fung Ho, Yu Sok Ying, Lin Yun Shun, and Chow Tai. An in quiry was made from the Collector of Customs as to whether the new arrivals had successfully passed thp education test The official said that he was unable to'supply such information, instructions haVing been given him tp that effect.
