CHINESE LABOUR
NEW ZEALAND RESTRICTIONS
WELLINGTON Tuesday. - The Minister of Labour proposes to bring in an amendment of the Factories Act restricting
the hours of labour of Chinese to those allowed to women and children, on the ground that the unrestricted hours worked by Chinese in industries in which women and young persons were employed, particularly the laundry trade, were neither fair nor just.
