GISBORNE, Sept 6. By the recent retirement of Mr W. D. Lysnar from the mayoralty of Gisborne, and the subsequent 'electon by the Council of Councillor Wm. Pettie to the mayoral chair, two vacancies have been caused on the Borough Council. Nominations closed today and seven were received as follows: — Messrs Anderson and Coleman (Labor nominees), J. W. Brighi (manager of N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co Ltd), Geo. Wildish (saddler), lan S.
