One of the passengets by last night's train to Dunedin was a wealthy Chinese storekeeper named Wong Kee, from Cromwell, where he has resided for 20 years. He had never in hid life been on a train before until he stepped into the train at Lawrence, and (says Bruce Herald) he was greatly exited over his new experience. He kept on putting his head out of the windows of the train, expressing his astonishment in pigeon English.
