ROBBERY AT WELLINGTON.
(Per Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, last night. The premises of Sing On Kee, a well known fruiterer and provision merchant on Lambton Quay, were the scene of a big robbery, evidently at a late hour on Saturday night. A sum of between £750 and. £B00 was missed from a safe. Of this amount £600 is stated to have been in sovereigns and the remainder in notes, and access to it was evidently gained by means of keys. Up to, the present the occurrence is shrouded in mystery, and inquiries among Orientals, for details about the affair are the laconic answer: ' Pleece say no tellum paper. "
