The Green Parrot Band entertained a very large number of dancers on Saturday evening, dancing being continued till the last possible hour. This night club, an entirely new departure for Auckland, is meeting with an enthusiastic reception. The music is' all that can be desired and the service and management in general are excellent. Discriminating people are finding it an ideal place in which to bring to an end a cheerful evening's entertainment. An appetising supper is not to be despised in such and this was not lacking, grills and various kinds of supper dishes being served by efficient and assiduous waiters. The flat-rate charge of 3s for supper, with no extra charge for dancing, is found to be a very popular innovation. Ihis club will be open daily from 6 p.m. for grills, etc., and the band is in attendance from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m Irom time to time the management intends to present novelty items, which should meet, with popular approval. For the benefit of those people who were unable to obtain admission on Saturday night, the management announces that additional cubicles and dining space are being provided and there should be ample I accommodation for all when the alterations are completed within a day or two.
