RAIDED BY POLICE CHINESE RESTAURANT (Ey Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 7th July. 1 Ten detectives last evening raided a Chinese restaurant in Grey’s avenue and arrested a laundryman, Ah Soon, for keeping a 'common gaming house, and forty other Chinese for being illegally on the premises. The police van made three trips to the station with the arrested men, and they were bailed out. They appeared m the Police Court this morning. All Soon was fined £75, and the forty others £2 each.
