COOLIE LABOUR COOLIE LABOUR POSITION IN SAMOA PLANTERS AGGRIEVED [FROM oun OWN CORHT-.RrONDENT] APIA. Oct. 23 The Administration has been taking a census of the Chinese eoolics, the chief purpose being to find out the number who wish to remain in Samoa for a further term and those who wish to return to China. From present indications it would seem that aboue onethird are willing to remain. A transport has been chartered and is due to arrive in Samoa early in December, but it is not know whether any replacements of labour will be available. The planters are aggrieved that the New Zealand Government is not '.making more information on the subject available.
