Oral history of Chinese women in New Zealand Date: Oct 2005 to Apr 2006 - 15 Oct 2005 - 29 Apr 2006 Ref: OHColl-0804 Interviews covering life experiences, aspirations, attitudes and expectations with eight women who came from different counties in China, have lived in New Zealand for over fifty years and who are from the 'old' Chinese community. The ages of those interviewed range between mid 50s to 92 years old. Three women were born in New Zealand, the others migrated to New Zealand between 1939 and 1951. The interviewees are Judy Cheung, Joyce Comfort, Dorothy Gee, Janet Joe, Jean Meng Yee, Mollie Ngan Kee, Aimee Poy and Chung Leen Wong.
