MASKED ROBBERS VISIT CHINAMAN. MASKED ROBBERS VISIT CHINAMAN. SENSATIONAL AFFAIR IN WELLINGTON. On Saturday evening a sensational incident occurred in Austin Street, Wellington, save the Dominion. Shortly after 8 p.m., the shop of Young Jung,, a Chinese fruiterer, at the corner of Austin and Queen Streets, was entered by two armed and masked men. One of them pointed a revolver at the muchalarmed Young Jung, and the other went behind the counter and made for the till. The Celestial was w,arned that if he made any noise he would be shot, but Young Jung replied: "You shootee! Me no care!" The man who went behind the counter tried in vain to wrench open the till. It was a patent lock, and unless one knew the keys to press it would be impossible to open it, and Young Jung, in a flow of very poor English, endeavoured to impress upon the highway robbers the foolishness of their Enterprise. However, before the masked mer could steal anything someone wh( was passing the shop sized up the situa tion at a glance, and ran to the police Meanwhile the robbers departed, ant 1 have not been seen since.
