I was sorry to hear of Betty's sudden death.
I saw Betty a couple of years ago at a schhol reunion and we caught up on our HVHS years. I loved Betty very much and we were close friends. I attended Betty and David's wedding which was amazing.
My condolences to all the family, and especially Robyn who met up with my son Paul in Europe travelling together.
Betty always had a smile and was a beautiful person may she rest in peace. Allan and Sue Eagle 23/04/2014
Dear David and family Allan and I were very sorry to hear of Betty's death. And sorry also that we found out too late to attend her funeral service. I always welcomed the times I bumped into Betty in Masterton and we would have a quick catch up about family and their doings. David, you and Allan haven't seen each other for awhile but old friendships are still valued highly. Please accept our sincere sympathies for your loss.

Dear David, Darryl and Robyn,
I was really sad to hear of Betty's passing and wanted to say how lovely a work colleague and friend she was.
I will never forget her fantastic smile, gardening and cooking advice that was shared at many a morning tea at Sadler Oakly Newman.
She hosted a baby shower for colleagues at her house for our first son Ollie and I will be eternally thankful for her kindness.
Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Dear David, Darryl, Robyn and fanilies,
We were so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Betty. You are all very much in our thoughts at this difficult and very sad time.
We remember happy times with you all during the St Matthews College days. Betty was always cheerful and we enjoyed her company. Our many meetings with Betty, our extremely competent accountant, began with news of both our families. We looked forward to hearing all the news from her and she was always interested in ours.
Her loss as your beloved wife, mother and grandmother is a huge one. Our hearts and love are with you. Unfortunately we are not able to be with you at the farewell for Betty on Friday, but we will be specially thinking of you all.
With our deepest sympathy,
Robyn and Adrian Blackett Te Karanga, RD2, Featherston Melanie Sue 17/04/2014

Dearest Uncle David, Darryl & Jackie, Robyn & Dave, Oscar, Taylor, Zara & young Jack,
So so sad to hear of your loss, my dear Aunty Betty. My thoughts and love are with you all at this difficult time. Aunty Betty was always a diligent grafter, with such high standards and values, working tirelessly on several things at once. And always willing to listen and offer sound logical advice.
Many years ago I shared a story with Aunty Betty about something my mum said to me. I was about 11-12 years old and not the most conscientious child. Mum said she would send me off to spend a week with Aunty Betty because she is such a hard worker and Aunty Betty would sort me out in next to no time. Imagine my surprise when I came home the next day and mum told me that Aunty Betty was out the back picking zucchini's and I need to go out back so Aunty Betty can teach me how to be better. With trepidation I wandered out the back, and meekly squeak that mum said I was to help you. Aunty Betty merely laughed and said there was no need as she was nearly finished and she was enjoying helping my mum out. She then just made me feel so comfortable chatting away asking me questions about school, etc. Such was her character - her nature, always helping out, always busy, always ready to listen to what's happening in your life.
God has another Angel in his garden now.
Rest In Peace Aunty Betty. Robert Chinn 16/04/2014
To Dear Auntie Betty
You will always be fondly remembered as our caring, lovable aunt; always there to listen and offer that meaningful advice.
We loved our stays with you and Uncle Dave in Masterton - we always felt so guilty/spoilt; not letting us do anything and cooking those such wonderful meals.
We cherish the memories
