CHURCHWARD, Joseph, QSM
Born in Samoa 20th August 1932, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 26 April 2013.
Husband of Tua (Anna). Loved father and father-in-law of Joe and Elisabeth; Michael; Maricia and Simon; the late Paul (RIP); Marianna and Mike; Lorina and Paul; the late James (RIP); Georgina and Nigel. Adored grandpa of: Luke and Sophie; Maya and Mikaela Churchward-Smith; Hayley, Emily and James Edmanson; Andre and Zachary; Karlos, Isabella and Marshall Churchward Woods; Hamish, Emma-Jean and Jonas-Jeremy Cooper; Saul, Mia, Daniel and Alexander Barker.
Most loved eldest grandchild of the late George and Ellen Churchward. Loved eldest son of the late Mary Ah Kuoi (Coe) and the late George Charles and Alma Churchward (RIP). Loved brother, brother in-law, cousin, uncle and friend to many.
"Designer of over 650 fonts. Handlettering is superior".
We would like to thank the many people who have cared for Joseph in the most loving and caring manner. Thanks to the awesome community nurses and night nurses for their kindness and patience. Our most gracious and humble thanks to all the wonderful staff at the Mary Potter Hospice in particular Rosemary Cave, who provided outstanding care, love and support for Joseph and our family.
In lieu of flowers we would be grateful for donations to Mary Potter Hospice to support the on-going care of other families and these may be left at the service or posted to Po Box 7442 Wellington South.

Joseph's funeral service will be held at the Church of St Mary of the Angels, Boulcott Street, Wellington, Wednesday 1st May, 2013 at 10.30am followed by burial at Makara Cemetery.
