INSOLVENT CHINAMAN
BREACHES OF BANKRUPTCY j (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Jam Gow, a' Chinese fruiterer, formerly of Te Aroha, was sent to prison to-day by the Magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt, for bankruptcy breaches. Tho Crown Prosecutor stated that, after insolvency, Jam contracted debts amounting to £250 in November and December and then disappeared. Ho was traced to AVellington, Christchureh, and Dunedin, where he was arrested on a civil warrant. He went to the Ellerslic races at. Christmas time, losing £SS, and went down South with the balance.
