CHINESE PARADISE FOR HUNGRY HORSE. AUCKLAND (Ni.), July 5.
A horsebreaker. Lancelot Goodger, got drunk and rode bis horse into a Chinese greengrocer's shop at Te Aroha. He tied the horse to the counter, and it ate all the cabbages, lettuce, and radishes within reach. It was eating bananas when the terrified Chinese dashed into the street, shrieking for the policé. Goodger was sent to gaol for six weeks. Cairns Post (Qld. Monday 7 July 1941
