Tho unfortunate Chinamau, Ohan Yu Leung, who lost his bight some time ago by a discreditable case of stone throwing in Walker street, has arrived in China, and an account of the matter appears in the Wy Sung, a daily newspaper published in Hongkong. The paragraph concludes as follows: —" He was likely to fare rather badly had not some gentlemen taken an interest in tho case, notably Mr A. Paterson and others, who exerted themselves a great deal iv the matter, and were the means of raising sufficient funds by subscription to enable him to proceed to his native laud. Chan Yu Leung desires to return his very warmest and heartfelt tnanks to the gentlemen who interested themselves in his case, and also to the agent at Duhediu for the China Navigation Company's steamers for a reduction of the passage money to China." We are of opinion that this is tho best way of accomplishing your wishes, that wo Bbould assure, as far ns possible, that tho money should not be expended in auy way except for his own benefit,
