TIMARU, August 25. A Narrow Escape for Johnny. _ During the storm on Saturdoy a Chinese gardener had his applecart upset, and he sustained serious injuries in consequence. Last evening, to all appearance, he died. This morning tho Coroner and police were about to hold an inquest, when a Chinaman announced thafc the dead man had suddenly coma to life again, at three o'clock. A medical examination has since been made, which showß tho late deceased to be partially paralysed Bnd in a hopeless state.
