A relative with name NG Kum Tong (number 6 at www.geocities.com/Tokyo/3919/hundred.html), arrived Wellington NZ in 1920's from Nga-Yiel village near Canton. Mr NG Kum Tong died on 28 August 1982 and was buried in Makara Cemetary Wellington. He was 79 years old at death. Does anyone have any info on Nga-Yiel village or knew him? Thanks.

Hi Geoff, no idea how old your request is, by my relative Ng Fun Chung, also believed to be from Nga Yiel village, arrived in Victoria in the 1870s to mine for gold. Maybe they were related. He was my GGF. Does he have Chinese characters on his headstone? If so, I'd love to see a photo of them. You can email me at tgilbert @ ozemail . com . au (remove the spaces).
