DOOR CLOSED. CHINESE AND NEW ZEALAND.
AUCKLAND.April 20
The Government has decided that no permits be allowed this year for the admission of Chinese to New Zealand for permanent residence. Previously permits were limited to 100 yearly. A temporary residence of six months will be allowed this year. Two thousand Chinese applied for permits for permanent residence, but all were refused.
